Vivo recently launched a new phone in its style-centric S series, called the S1 Pro. This is my review on the smartphone. The box comes with 1 handset, 1 charger, 1 USB cable, 1 Warranty Card, 1 Quick Guide, 1 eject tool, 1 earphone, 1 Case. It is priced at 19,990 rupees in India. It's most attractive feature is it's attractive back case design. It is a follow up to the Vivo S1 which was launched last year.

For this model, we have a choice of three different gradient finishes. The one we have is called ‘Mystic Black' but this phone is also available in ‘Dreamy White' and ‘Jazzy Blue' trims. The S1 Pro feels a little chunky at 8.68mm thick, and after prolonged one-handed use, the 186g weight is noticeable. The rounded edges and tapering back make it easier to hold, and despite the glossy finish, it isn't too slippery.

In the front, we have a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display with a full-HD+ resolution. There's an in-display fingerprint sensor too, which works well. It supports face unlock as well which is okay but isn't as quick as in other phones at this price. The button placement is good. On the left, there's a tray for either two Nano-SIMs or a single Nano-SIM and a microSD card. It would have been better to have a dedicated slot for memory expansion. At the bottom, we have a USB Type-C port and speaker, and there's a headphone jack on the top.

This phone is a little pricey according to me as better specifications should be found in a smartphone at this price range. Also it will be challenging to play heavy games in this. The saving specification of this model is it's 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Also I found the battery to be depleting fast even though it is supposed to have 4500mAh battery capacity. No heating or lagging was found while being in use since last three months.
