I think it is the best webseries in the history of Indian Webseries .Asur, according to myths, is a human who has lost their humanity.

Story Explanation :

Asur is basically a Crime -Thriller Webseries. Dangerous battle between a Psychopath killer and two Forensic Experts.The story is the blend of suspense, mythology and solving the murders of some people totally unrelated.Asur is about a serial killer on the loose. Dhananjay Rajput(Arshad Warsi) is a forensic expert who is investigating these murders. One fine day, he starts investigating a charred body not knowing that it is his wife. After a point of time, Dhananjay is arrested for the murder of his wife. In such a scenario, Nikhil Nair(Barun Sobti) a young cop starts investigating this case. Who is this killer? How will Nikhil Nair trace him and what’s the role of Dhananjay in all this? That forms the story.

What's Good in the series ?

The eight-episode series has a solid premise of crime, mythology, and suspense. Arshad Warsi, who is always known to do fun roles showcases what an actor he is when it comes to doing a serious role. He does his character in a solid manner. Barun Sobti is also cool in his key role as a cop with a troubled back. The crime angle and how it is connected to the ancient times of mythology has been brought in superbly. There is no dull moment in this show as suspense keeps building with each episode. The drama and gruesome killings look authentic and make up a thrilling scenario to watch. Also brief telling of every characters past is sufficient for the series to understand. And also the story build up one by one from explanation of asur in hindu mythology to the real asur it evolves a mysterious environment.

What’s bad?

For all those who have watched the famous Hindi shows CID, Crime Patrol, this series looks a bit inspired. Ridhi Dogra’s key performance in this web series falls short and could have been stronger. The series is an adult-only watch and not for the regular audience.

My Opinion:

The Story is very much unique.The proper Mythological touch in this Crime- Thriller in a different manner attracted me very much . The Dev- Asur ideology was just stunning in this Webseries.
